Leadership Development

We combine social justice curriculum with structured opportunities to gain hands-on community organizing skills for a one of a kind leadership development experience.
We know that long-term change must be driven by the communities most affected, and that means we need strong leaders. The Bus provides intentional learning experiences for youth to gain the skills and experience needed to make the change they want to see.
All participants in our leadership development programs leave with the ability to champion issues they are passionate about, and the skills to make real change in their communities. Learn more about our leadership development programs below.

The Bus Fellowship is an intentional full-time, 10-week paid political, social justice, and community-building program for young people. Fellows spend the summer organizing and driving change in Seattle.

The Bus internship is a paid, part-time, and flexible 8 to 10-week social justice and community organizing opportunity for young people to organize + engage other young folks around important issues.

Campus engagement

The Bus supports campuses to engage students in civic life year round through the development of strategic voter registration and civic engagement programs in regions across Washington.
